Nelson and Sixta is a 40 year old, full-service creative group featuring video, photography, branding, new media and graphic design services for a variety of corporate and municipal clients. For almost 30 years, the company has specialized in serving the commercial real estate industry…beginning with Cushman Realty Corporation’s project Landmark Square in Long Beach, California and most recently, a leasing video and brochure for AC Martin’s Wilshire Grand Center in Downtown Los Angeles.

Outside of commercial real estate, they have created documentaries such as Voices Long Silent (a history of Japanese internment during World War II). They have produced more than 350 presentations from high definition video to 15-projector multi-image wide-screen productions. They have created the visual and stage presentations for more than 80 events including: Calibre Awards (LA), Hospitality Design Awards (LA, Las Vegas, New York) Lulu Awards (LA) CoreNet Global Executive of the Year Dinner (LA). They have produced and designed visual presentations for several theatrical shows including the musical Mail at the Pasadena Playhouse, the Kennedy Center and Music Box Theatre (Broadway) and the new musical Rockwell based on the life of Norman Rockwell. They created a documentary on the construction of The Broad and a leasing brochure for the Queen Mary Island project in Long Beach, California.

Michael Nelson and Stephen Sixta work with their team to organize, produce, direct, write, art direct, photograph and edit all their productions. Michael Nelson holds a B.A. in Fine Art and a M.A. in Painting/Photography from Western Illinois University. He has post-graduate work at UCLA and Art Center for Design. Stephen Sixta holds a B.A. in Theatre from Western Illinois University and a B.A. in Fine Art Photography from Columbia College. He has post-graduate work at UCLA.

Nelson and Sixta have taken graduate independent study classes with Garry Winogrand, Eileen Cowin and Kendra North.
